Arrowsmith completes ¥1.05 billion Series A and FDA pre-IND meeting for phage cocktail ARW001

Arrowsmith (Tsukuba, Japan) completed a Series A round totaling ¥1.05 billion, with JAFCO, JIC-VGI and ANRI in the first close and DBJ Capital in the second, and held a pre-IND meeting with the US FDA on ARW001, its phage cocktail for Pseudomonas aeruginosa infections. The written FDA response, received at the end of December 2025, addressed the first clinical trial design, the nonclinical and CMC data package, and a development plan without GLP toxicology studies; the company plans to file an IND and start the first clinical trial in 2026.
