Fernando Gordillo Altamirano and Jeremy Barr (Monash University) published a new perspective in Current Opinion in Biotechnology entitled "Unlocking the next generation of phage therapy: the key is in the receptors". They argue that identifying the receptors a phage recognizes should be part of the standard pipeline before its use in phage therapy.
