In a new preprint, Medeea Popescu and colleagues report that the bacteriophage Pf4, produced by Pseudomonas aeruginosa, dampens inflammatory responses in response to either P. aeruginosa airway infection in a mouse model of acute pneumonia or bacterial endotoxin treatment.
