In silico Phage Hunting: Bioinformatics Exercises to Identify and Explore Bacteriophage Genomes

This teaching module uses PHASTER and other freely available tools for phage genome identification and phylogenetic analysis in undergraduate microbiology courses. The exercises were field-tested in classes and undergraduate directed research.
