| Eligibility | Independent researchers at eligible domestic Japanese institutions paired with researchers at public/nonprofit research institutions or universities in Thailand. Thai proposals must involve at least two Thai institutions or universities; identical joint proposals go to both funders, with national annexes and ethics requirements. JST and Thailand’s PMU-B funded joint biotechnology projects lasting up to 36 months. The remit covered genome engineering, precision fermentation and microbial-community control. Matching proposals had to reach both funders by September 26, 2025.
