Kate Harding (University of Otago) and colleagues published a new paper on genome-wide identification of bacterial genes for nucleus-forming phage infection, showing flagella and lipopolysaccharide biosynthesis genes are major contributors to phage resistance, alongside other cellular pathways also used by non-jumbo phages.
