Novel phage endolysin LysAB1245 is active against multiple capsular types of multidrug-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii (PLOS ONE)
The recombinant endolysin LysAB1245, from phage T1245, showed broad activity against all clinical multidrug-resistant A. baumannii isolates tested across capsular types KL2, 3, 6, 10, 47, 49 and 52, with a reduction of more than 3 log in viable bacteria after 2 hours. It was stable from 4 to 70 C and across pH 4.5 to 10.5, with MIC and MBC of 4.21 ug/mL.
