Per Kristian Thorén Edvardsen (Norwegian University of Life Sciences) and colleagues published a new paper on a cryptic prophage endolysin with muramidase activity. They solve its crystal structure and show 10,000-fold higher activity than lysozyme against P. aeruginosa peptidoglycan.
