Scoping-review poster: bacteriophage therapy to target gut bacteria linked to lupus flares

Non-peer-reviewed scoping-review poster from the NSU KPCOM Student Research Day (May 15, 2026), published on Cureus, that searched six databases for studies of bacteriophage therapy in autoimmune disease. It reports disease-associated changes in the gut virome and microbiome and phage-immune interactions, and concludes that clinical evidence for using phages to reduce lupus (SLE) flares remains limited and that clinical trials are needed.
