The first Phages for Global Health Phage Workshop in West Africa started this week! This 2-week lab training workshop is hosted at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana. Participants from 6 countries (Benin, Cote d'Ivoire, Ghana, Nigeria, Senegal and The Gambia) will learn how to isolate phages from local sources and begin to develop them as antibacterial agents.
