The Phages4Cure project is a German initiative (run by the Fraunhofer ITEM at Braunschweig in partnership with the DSMZ) to develop phage cocktails to treat P. aeruginosa in the lung. Fraunhofer ITEM has been manufacturing biologics to GMP standards for 20 years, and is applying to extend its manufacturing license so it can manufacture the phage cocktail for clinical trials.
