Tiffany Luong (San Diego State University) and colleagues published a new phage therapy review in Clinical Therapeutics. They summarize the increasing body of clinical data on phage therapy (including a nice visual showing the pathogens phages have been used to treat between 2005-2020, the corresponding sites of infection, and the routes of administration). They highlight key gaps in current knowledge, and discuss the use of phage adjuvants as a promising new avenue for improving phage killing of bacteria.
