UK Commons committee report on bacteriophages recommends exploring a shared GMP facility for phage production
The House of Commons Science, Innovation and Technology Committee's report The antimicrobial potential of bacteriophages follows an inquiry that received over 40 pieces of written evidence and held three oral evidence sessions. Among its recommendations, the Department of Health and Social Care should consider bringing funders and innovation centres together to build a GMP facility for phage innovators and the NHS, including investment in spare laboratory space such as the Rosalind Franklin Laboratory.
