Benjamin Chan (Yale University) and colleagues published a new paper on outcomes from the first 9 adult CF compassionate use cases treated with personalized inhaled P. aeruginosa phage therapy at Yale. 5-18 days after phage therapy, they saw that sputum Pseudomonas decreased by multiple logs without altering sputum microbiome, and saw evidence of trade-offs that decreased Pseudomonas antibiotic resistance and bacterial virulence.
