Aquaculture feed company Skretting and phage biotech company Proteon Pharmaceuticals are joining forces to trial phages to improve fish and shrimp health. Skretting will isolate strains of bacteria they'd like to target, and Proteon will determine the most effective groups of phages. Then Skretting Aquaculture Research Centre (ARC) researchers will examine the efficacy of the phages during challenge trials.
