Congratulations to Jesca Nakavuma and her team of phage researchers in Uganda for winning an $800,000 grant from the African Union. The grant will support their development of phage products combating antibiotic resistant bacteria in fish. In 2017, Dr. Nakavuma's group participated in the first East Africa Workshop put on by the nonprofit organization Phages for Global Health.
